Two Ears are Better than One

The majority of Native American corn deities are female and were associated with fertility and providing sustenance for their people. Some mythologies told that humans had been fashioned out of corn. This mythological Corn Mother has sprouted a young one and is carrying him within the protection of her tightly wrapped husk, reminiscent of the cradle board. If one ear of corn is good, then two ears are even better!
